Hang Nguyen

Hang Nguyen earned her Bachelor of Arts in interpretation and translation at Vietnam National University and Master of Science degree in International Human Resources Management from the University of East Anglia, UK.  Hang’s longtime interest has been in languages. She has worked as an English teacher at Hanoi University and as a translator for various books.  Additionally, Hang has had numerous experiences as a reporter and writer for multiple news groups, including articles for BBC.  These collective experiences have been the driving force behind her work and success.

Vinh Dang

Vinh is a senior actuarial analyst at Rael & Letson, an actuarial consulting firm that specializes in health and welfare consulting services in the West region of America, serving more than 200 clients that include government agencies, labor unions, school districts, and various corporations. Before accepting the senior role at Rael & Letson, Vinh worked as an actuarial analyst for Milliman Inc, a premier actuarial consulting firm providing a wide spectrum of global consulting services from healthcare management to financial investment. Vinh’s work experience includes his past employment at Kaiser Permanente, a giant health maintenance organization (HMO).  With years of experience in actuarial work and expertise in finance, economics, healthcare, and risk management, Vinh wishes to build an affordable healthcare system in Vietnam. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Thi Dao

Thi Dao graduated from UCLA with a degree in English. Experience living abroad has intensified her interest in exploring the interactions between different cultures. Her main interest is in overseas Vietnamese communities and how they integrate in their new country, as well as the experience of expatriates living in Vietnam. Thi was awarded the PEN USA Emerging Voices Fellowship in 2009 for fiction writing, and before that worked as a Language and Culture Assistant for the Ministry of Education in Spain. She currently works in a business-to-business publishing company and functions as the blog’s copy editor.
