11.25.09 - What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
Having just come back from a place where I witnessed lives that were incomprehensibly altered and in their eyes, hope was drowning in the lake of apathy, however, I am thankful for an opportunity to see some of them still have the courage and reasons to smile.
What I am most thankful for are for those whose convictions lead them to actions; those who are motivated not by selfish gains but are moved when they see the needy, the deprived, the neglected then rise to do something for the least of these. I am grateful for my friends who give not only their talent and fortune but their very lives to do good. I am thankful for the Lord Almighty who puts in the hearts of men the love for humanity and for some, the fortitude to do what is needed.
