11.23.09 – What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for being Vietnamese-American. Being Vietnamese-American today means we are blessed with the opportunities that our parents could only dream of. Like many of you, I have grown up believing that there are no limits to my dreams, and only myself can stand in the way of my own achievements. Vietnamese Americans today are given the chance to pursue top notch education and to be all that we can be. But it doesn’t stop there. The most amazing thing about being Vietnamese American is that you have a wonderful community to give back to once you’ve become accomplished. For those of us who have a degree under our belts and a flourishing career, now is your chance to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate and to share with them the opportunities that you’ve received.
I am thankful for being a part of this generation of Vietnamese Americans and surrounded by a team of people who are so dedicated to giving back.
