July 8, 2009 by James Bao Leave a Comment

Room to Read

Room to Read is a great organization founded my John Wood, a former Microsoft Exec, that has built thousands of libraries around the world.  Since opening it’s office in Vietnam, Room to Read has helped build over 300 libraries.  In 2009, they projected 105 libraries and 15 schools to be built… in Vietnam alone.  Room to Read is a global organization with presence in developing countries all around the world.  More information on Room to Read Vietnam.

This is an affirmation that there are many great organizations out there spearheading great efforts to make Vietnam a better place to live.  The unfortunate thing is not many of these organizations are Vietnamese lead.  We hope organizations like Room to Read will inspire the Vietnamese community to match these efforts and work toward a better Vietnam together.
